Among the houses swept away on Saturday, August 27, was a home owned by 64-year-old Leticia Rendon, whose house was also swept away during the floods of 2015.

Residents in nearby areas have since been ordered to evacuate, with some 25 families from four barangays still seeking refuge in centers. Power is still available in the area, but water has been scarce as a pipe was damaged during the typhoon. Meanwhile, several residents remained isolated as the bridge connecting Barangay Naguneg West in Narvacan and Barangay Nagsayawan in Sta. Maria had yet to be repaired after it collapsed during Typhoon Egay .
