The House committee on public accounts, led by Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor, will conduct the hearing with summoned officials of PhilHealth and Department of Health to attend.Also invited to appear at the House probe is Thorrsson Keith, a former anti-fraud legal officer at the PhilHealth. He resigned supposedly over allegations of widespread corruption within the agency.
“Mr. Keith should explain what these spillages are, what are the instances of corruption in the state health insurance firm, and who are the officials and personnel involved,” Defensor said in a statement on Sunday.
