Manila International Airport Authority general manager Eric Jose Ines praised a porter named Irwin Rommel Diana from D’Frada Porterage Services, who found a black pouch containing 70 pieces of $100 bills in NAIA Terminal 3.
Diana promptly surrendered the pouch to the airport’s lost and found section, which was later recovered by the owner, a traveler holding an American passport. Diana, 35, has been working at NAIA for 14 years and emphasized the importance of honesty to fellow airport workers. On April 13, another porter from the same company, Victor Perez, returned 100 pieces of $100 bills under similar circumstances.Ines and other MIAA officials were happy to receive the good news about what the airport workers did.“Their display of honesty by promptly reporting the incident not only sets a good example to colleagues, but also proves that our efforts to promote integrity and professionalism among airport workers is gaining ground from all levels of service,” said Ines.
Just recently, Department of Social Welfare and Development Undersecretary Eduardo Punay also commended a utility worker at the airport for returning his mobile phone after it went missing. No Butler, no problem as Heat crush Bulls to set up Celtics clash
