Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced on Monday, March 1, that 1,013 engineer positions composed of 634 males and 379 females were filled up nationwide.
“With adequate and competent manpower, we will be able to deliver more projects on time, and in strict adherence to our design standards,” the secretary added. A total of 253 employees previously hired under contract of service in the Central Office have been regularized and are now enjoying the security and benefits of permanent employees.
