MAYNILA — Mahigit 800 kabataang estudyante na miyembro ng Socorro Bayanihan Services Inc.. ang nadiskubreng pawang dropped out sa kanilang mga pag-aaral.Sabi ni Dr. Karen Galanida, Schools Division Superintendent ng Siargao na nakasasakop sa bayan ng Socorro, batay sa kanilang record ay nangyari ang malawakang drop out kasunod ng “massive exodus” sa Sitio Kapihan sa Socorro, Surigal del Norte.
“We have enrolled 150 ALS learners in 2019, 800 plus learners have dropped out of schools due to their massive exodus in Sitio Kapihan and we have as per reports 103 DepEd personnel who also resigned/retired. There are also teachers who went AWOL in February, most of them have massively resigned in June, July 2019,” sabi ni Galanida.
“In 2019 despite our extensive interventions, they have decided to leave the school and in SY 2020 to 2021, 150 learners have expressed their intention to get enrolled, because these 150 learners are 4Ps recipient. Sadly out of the 150 learners in ALS only 8 have survived,” sabi ni Galanida.Natanong din ni Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa si Galanida kung ano ang relasyon nito kay Mamerto Galanida ng SBSI kung sana lumabas na tiyunin nito ang opisyal.
Ang alam lang aniya niyang posibleng dahilan ay ang kahirapan na makarating sa mga eskwelahan dahil sa kalayuan nito sa kanilang lugar sa Kapihan.
