Govt execs, lawmakers pay tribute to soldiers GOVERNMENT officials and lawmakers on Tuesday paid tribute to the men and women in uniform and urged Filipinos to emulate their bravery on a holiday that marked the fall of Bataan to Japanese invaders during World War II. Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri called on Filipinos to let the Araw ng Kagitingan serve as an inspiration in overcoming the challenges that the country faced.

No relief following hottest March HOT and humid weather will continue to prevail in most parts of the country, the state weather bureau said Tuesday, as Europe's climate monitor said March was hottest on record in the world for the 10th straight month. Weather specialist Rhea Torres said the entire archipelago would remain free from any weather disturbance forming or entering the Philippine area of responsibility in the coming days.

In his remarks, Marcos said the Philippine government was always open to participating in any efforts of the W.F.P.
