Work in all courts nationwide will only be until 12 noon today, Friday, Oct. 29, “to allow officials and employees to prepare for the All Saints’ Day break,” Acting Chief Justice Estela M. Perlas Bernabe said.

Starting Nov. 3, only 30 percent of the workforce in the Supreme Court , appellate collegiate courts – Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals – in the National Capital Region is required to report physically in their offices.

The appellate collegiate courts, including trial courts in the NCR, have been allowed to conduct in-court hearings and other proceedings on important and urgent cases until Nov. 5. But in-court hearings are limited to lawyers, parties, and witnesses whose physical attendance is required. NRC trial courts – regional trial court, metropolitan trial court and municipal trial court – will have only 50 percent of their total workforce reporting physically in their offices.
