Ayon sa pulisya, nagpapanggap na abogado at empleyado ng Social Security System ang suspek at nanghihingi ng pera sa mga biktima, kapalit daw ang mas madaling proseso sa pagkuha ng Unified Multi-Purpose Identification card.Umabot sa 18 ang nabiktima ng suspek, karamihan ay mga kabataang naghahanap ng mapapasukang trabaho at ilang senior citizens na nagpatulong naman na makagawa ng ATM cards para sa pensyon nila sa Government Social Insurance System o SSS.
