The Duterte administration will neither rest nor grow tired of working to lift people out of poverty and bring comfortable life for all regardless of criticisms from the opposition and detractors, Malacañang said Wednesday.

Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said President Duterte and the rest of the administration would sustain the gains on economic development, improved peace and order, social services, among others until all taxpayers are convinced that “they are getting their money’s worth.”“stratospheric” number of Filipinos who viewed their lives positively in 2018.

He said while the President has given priority to the improvement of the country’s peace and order, he has also laid the foundation that will “propel the nation to progress and reach new heights.” He said the survey results give the government encouragement that almost all Filipinos have recognized the administration’s bold strides to pursue inclusive and sustainable sociodevelopment programs.

Poverty reduction measures such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the Magna Carta of the Poor were also signed by the President “to uplift the standard of living of those belonging to the underprivileged class of our society,” Panelo said.
