ALABEL, Sarangani – Sen. Bong Go condemned on Friday the recent aggression by the Chinese Coast Guard against Filipino sailors on the West Philippine Sea.

The vice chairman of the Senate Committee on National Defense said he will seek a Senate inquiry on the June 17 incident.

He said that the WPS belongs to the Philippines and Filipinos should not give up even a single square foot of its territory to China.He urged the Chinese Coast Guard to stop bullying Filipino sailors and must respect the sovereignty of the Philippines. On June 17, the Chinese Coast Guard blocked a civilian vessel commissioned by Philippine Navy to conduct routinary and resupply mission for Filipino soldiers stationed at the grounded Philippine Navy vessel on Ayungin Shoal which is within the Philippine maritime territory also being claimed by China.
