Ginagawang multi-purpose building gumuho, 3 sugatan

Isa sa mga nasugatan ay si Rolly Menueza na nabali ang buto sa kamay sa kaniyang pagtalon matapos ang pagguho. Ang dalawa pang kasamahan niya ay naipit sa mga nagbagsakang trusses o metal frames ng gumuhong estruktura.

Buwan ng Hunyo nang sinimulan ang proyekto na pinondohan ng P5.6 milyon ng tanggapan ni Cagayan de Oro First District Rep. Klarex Uy at Department of Public Works and Highways ang implementing agency. Pinaiimbestigahan na ng DPWH 10 ang nangyari. Pero ayon sa kanila, maaaring naging dahilan din ng tuluyang pagguho ang sunod-sunod na paglindol nitong Oktubre.

"Contributory factor ang lindol kasi ang paggawa sa covered court yung trusses hindi pa final pinagpatung-patong lang kasi in case meron pang i modify o i-adjust puwede pa so hindi pa siya winelding nang permanent kaya hindi pa gaanong matibay. Dahil din sa lindol sa mga nakaraang araw siguro na-dislocate ang ibang portions," sabi ni Vinah Jeanne Maghinay, tagapagsalita ng DPWH 10.

Hindi pa naturn-over ng contractor ang proyekto sa DPWH kaya sila ang sasagot sa mga gagawing repairs pati na sa pagpapagamot ng mga sugatang trabahador.
