IMMIGRATION authorities have arrested a German wanted in his country for fraud while attempting to extend his stay in the Philippines.Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the fugitive as 47-year-old Alexander Herr, who also uses the alias Kai Michael Konig.Herr was applying for a visa extension at the Bureau of Immigration's Makati office when arrested by elements of the bureau's Fugitive Search Unit . He arrived in the country on March 19.

Herr will be temporarily detained at the BI's facility in Bicutan, Taguig pending his deportation. Once deported, he faces three years imprisonment in Germany for his crimes.Prior to Herr's arrest, the FSU also arrested an American and South Korean in separate operations late last week.They were identified as Khalil Kamal Hattar, 56, American and Lee Jung Hun, 59, Korean, who were both arrested in the city of Manila.
