Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. needs to be 'more assertive' when it comes to making decisions about the country's vaccine program, Sen. Panfilo 'Ping' Lacson says.

"more assertive" when it comes to making decisions about the country's vaccine program, Sen. Panfilo"Ping" Lacson said Friday.that Galvez often seems to defer to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on the direction of the government's pandemic response during meetings of the pandemic task force.Hindi masyado nag-a-assert.

Lacson, who has attended previous meetings with members of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases along with other senators, had already made the suggestion to Galvez, after personally seeing his demeanor whenever Duque was around. "I won't mention anymore sino ang nagsabi pero hindi daw lumalabas ng bahay ang mga ibang doktor na nag-aadvise. Nandoon lang sa harap ng computer, eh iba yung computer, iba yung nasa ground. The mayors, the local government officials ang nasa ground,"[Translation: I won't mention anymore who said it to me but these doctors who have been advising allegedly do not even go out. They would just sit in front of the computer, but that is different from being on the ground.

Manila runs out of vaccine supply, halts first dose mass vaccinationMagagalit na naman si Isko nyan dahil mabagal ang gobyerno sa pamimigay ng bakuna. Got vaccinated last Tuesday at a Mall in Binondo. Nakakatuwa lang dahil may sistema na, 20-30 people ang natuturukan nila every 10 minutes. IMO, no need muna ng ultra mega vaccination sites. Naubus n b yung mga dumating n vaccines? Problema sa mga naka scheduled for second dose at first dose...
