MANILA, Philippines — San Miguel Beer may have scored a four-game sweep of Rain or Shine in their PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series. But coach Jorge Gallent tipped his hat off to ROS coach Yeng Guiao for developing a number of his young players early in their pro careers.

Gallent was specifically impressed with how second year guard Gian Mamuyac rose to a more prominent role this season under Guiao.'Definitely Mamuyac, he's been playing well not even in this series, but also, he played well in the elims, I think he had a career-high against us before,' Gallent noted of the former Ateneo standout.

He's giving them good advice, they're under good leadership,' stressed Gallent on ROS' young core that also includes rookie Adrian Nocum, Anton Asistio and Andrei Caracul, whom the team selected 22nd and 23rd overall in the PBA Draft in 2021.'Their young guys, they will really improve under the system of coach Yeng.
