Sinas, who sat as director of the Police Regional Office 7 for 16 months, said he will bring to the capital everything that his department implemented in Central Visayas.As regional director, his office hauled 189 kilos of shabu during illegal-drugs operations, and at least 485 kilos of marijuana was uprooted and 454 pills of ecstasy were confiscated."We are consistent with no letup," Sinas said.
No date has been set yet for his first day as NCRPO chief, while his successor at the PRO 7 has not yet been determined. During Sinas' time, there were about 10,000 drug operations that resulted in 135 deaths, some of which were under investigation by the Commission on Human Rights. It was also under Sinas' watch that a spate of killings in Negros Oriental happened, deaths that were linked in the campaign against members of the New People's Army.
