Former NBA star Joakim Noah imparts valuable lessons to young Filipino hoopers

MANILA, Philippines — Playing for 13 years in the NBA , the former two-time All- Star player Joakim Noah 's next mission is to inspire the next generation of hoopers. The hardworking center graced the NBA Jr. basketball clinic at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong on Sunday, June 30. In a short huddle, the 2014 NBA Defensive player shared that basketball is not just limited to scoring, and emphasized that 'not everybody is going to be the Kobe Bryant.

With a sudden starstruck factor after he entered the court, the basketball camp's energy changed, but Noah quickly called everyone out and reminded them that 'it is work time.' 'This is not chill time, when the coaches tell you to go to your stations, you move fast. This is not chill time,' Noah told the clinic participants as he wants to shake and wake the young guns. The big man was first drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2007 and played for the franchise for nine years.
