TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite - The late Governor Erineo 'Ayong' S. Maliksi was honored at a necrological service held at the Provincial Capitol on Tuesday (March 2).

TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite – The late Governor Erineo “Ayong” S. Maliksi was honored at a necrological service held at the Provincial Capitol on Tuesday .

During the service, the Cavite Mayors’ League, through its president, Mendez-Nuñez Mayor Frederick A. Vida, presented Resolution No. 03 – 2021 while members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Jolo Revilla presented Provincial Resolution No. 1721 -2021, both expressing their deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family of the former governor.

In a Facebook post, Maliksi’s son and Imus City Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi expressed his gratitude to the provincial government led by Governor Jonvic C. Remulla for recognizing his father’s service and dedication. The younger Maliksi said the Provincial Capitol and its staff have been a big part of his father’s life and commitment to empowering Caviteños.

Maliksi served as Imus Vice Mayor from 1980 to 1986, Imus Mayor from 1986 to 1998, Representative of the City of Imus from 1998 to 2001 and 2010 to 2013, and Provincial Governor from 2001 to 201
