MANILA, Philippines — Dose-dosenang planta ng kuryente ang pwersadong isasara ngayong Martes bunsod ng "red" at "yellow" alert na inanunsyo ng National Grid Corp. of the Philippines sa Luzon at Visayas .

"A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid's contingency requirement."Samantala, 12 power plants naman ang pwersadong isasara sa Visayas grid habang tatakbo naman sa "derated capacity" ang lima pa.Sinasabing may 13,537MW available capacity at 13,024MW peak demand ang Luzon grid. Nasa 2,742MW naman ang available capacity ng Visayas grid habang 2,440MW ang peak demand nito.

Kinumpirma ng Department of Migrant Workers na nasa ligtas na kalagayan ang apat na Pinoy na lulan ng container ship na MSC Aries, na hinuli ng Iran authorities kamakailan.
