Football: Camille Rodriguez bags brace, as PH off to winning start in ASEAN tilt

MANILA, Philippines—Camille Rodriguez found the back of the net twice as the Philippines defeated Malaysia, 3-0, to kick off their campaign in the 2019 AFF Women's Championship on Thursday afternoon in Chonburi, Thailand.

Rodriguez scored the breakthrough goal for the Philippines in the 40th minute, before Hali Moriah Long doubled their advantage with a fine header in the 51st."It was a good start for us, and we are very happy with the result of the game," said coach Marnelli Dizon, who acknowledged that they struggled with the Malaysian's pressure in the first 40 minutes of the game.
