MANILA — The Philippines also suspended inbound flights from Hong Kong after a case of a new and potentially more infectious COVID-19 variant was detected in the territory, the spokesperson of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said Sunday.
But Padilla said Filipinos in Hong Kong would have no means to return to the country due to the border control. Filipinos will not be prohibited from entering the country but they will undergo "strict quarantine," he added.
