FIRST Lady Mary Louise 'Liza' Araneta Marcos lauded teachers for their sacrifice, especially during the pandemic and urged them to 'keep the faith and hold your head up high'.In her speech during the National Teacher's Day celebration in Bangued, Abra on Wednesday, Araneta-Marcos said that she understood the trials of teachers as she is also one herself.

She said that the government recognizes the teachers' hard work and all the sacrifices that they made to make the art of learning possible despite the challenges during the pandemic.Araneta-Marcos also noted the promise made by her husband, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. during his first State of the Nation Address -- to increase the spending on education as it is the only legacy for Filipino children.
