A fire hit a residential area in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig shortly before midnight Wednesday.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection -Taguig, the fire happened at No. 409 Severina Subdivision, Bagumbayan on Sept. 15 with the first alarm raised at 11:39 p.m.Fire fighters raised the second alarm at 11:45 p.m. before the fire was put under control at 12:36 a.m. and eventually put out at 12:42 a.m.

Probers identified the owner of the house as Julie Ann Mariano. The fire affected 10 houses with 14 families, or 64 individuals. According to BFP-Taguig, the cost of damage to property was about P140,000. No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. A Facebook post by Barangay Bagumbayan stated that 21 families composed of 76 individuals were affected by the fire. Nine houses were totally damaged while 12 were partially damaged.

A total of 53 fire trucks responded to the fire consisting of 19 from BFP and 34 from volunteer groups and local government units. Three ambulances also responded to the incident.Fire at Severina Subdivision, Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig
