MANILA, Philippines: The National Book Development Board (NBDB) and the Manila Critics Circle (MCC) on Monday released their list of finalists for the 41st National Book Awards.

For this cycle, a total of 235 titles were submitted across 34 categories consisting of 7 languages: English, Filipino, Binisaya, Bikol, Hiligaynon, Tausug, and Waray.

Categories being contested are, for the Literary Division: Best Novel in English, Best Novel in Filipino, Best Book of Short Fiction in English, Best Book of Short Fiction in Filipino, Best Book of Nonfiction Prose in English, Best Book of Nonfiction Prose in Filipino, Best Anthology in English, Best Anthology in Filipino, Best Book of Literary Criticism/Cultural Studies, Best Book of Media Studies, Best Book of Poetry in English, Best Book of Poetry in Filipino, Best Book of Graphic Novel and...
