Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando has reminded Bulakenyos anew to continue observing health protocols amid the reported increase in the number of Covid-19 cases especially in “super spreader” events such as motorcades and other election-related activities.

In an interview with Manila Bulletin on Tuesday, April 19, Fernando said he and his team are offering heartfelt services and not business and saw the need to continue reminding the people to observe the minimum public health protocols.

“Under Alert Level 1 ay nakakilos tayo tulad ng isang ibon na parang may kalayaan subali’t hindi pa rin dapat maging kampante ang lahat ng Bulakenyo,” ,” he said. Governor Daniel Fernando with his vice gubernatorial candidate Alex Castro make the thumbs up sign to residents to encourage them to continue wearing face masks in Gulod Street, Barangay San Vicente on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Sta Maria, Bulacan.

Fernando said the Bulacan Provincial Health Office has logged four new cases on Monday, April 18, which brings the total Covid-19 confirmed cases in the province to 109,360, while 107,631 or 98 percent have recovered. The PHO said that out of the remaining cases, 56 are active cases province-wide, only three are admitted in the hospitals, four are in a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility, and 49 are under home isolation.
