Despite lack of evidence on its efficacy against COVID-19, the regulator says hospitals may still apply for compassionate special permit to use ivermectin.

[Translation: We currently do not recommend its use but the option is open for hospitals in case they cannot prescribe any other medication and they believe that this can help their patients, then they can get a compassionate special permit for this drug.]

^-- Correction: Not a lack of evidence there are mountains of evidence. WHO in their review of 16 of above RCTs didn't refute that Ivermectin showed efficacy just as in in vitro trials, they only raised concern about statistical odds ratio.
