The father of an Overseas Filipino Worker who was maltreated in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has sought the government’s help for his daughter’s return to the Philippines.

In an interview with DZMM Teleradyo on Friday, Timoteo Basilio said his daughter, Donna Jean, has yet to return home because her employer refused to give her salary, passport, and exit visa. Timoteo said his daughter’s flight back to the Philippines was scheduled on Jan. 27 but this did not push through due to the conflict with Donna Jean’s employer.The employer, according to Timoteo, still refused to give his daughter an exit visa and passport.

OWWA Administrator Leo Hans Cacdac vowed to coordinate with Donna Jean’s Saudi and Philippine recruitment agencies, as well as the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Labor.“Pipilitin natin makauwi si Donna Jean sa katapusan ng buwan ,” Cacdac added.
