VATICAN CITY - The horrors of World War Two are being forgotten, thereby raising the risk of a new global conflict, Pope Francis said on Wednesday in comments marking the 80th anniversary of the 1944 D-Day landings.The allied invasion of Nazi-occupied France was a turning point in World War Two, and Francis said the brutal lessons of the past had fueled a determination amongst subsequent generations to avoid any new large-scale fighting.
