Expanded testing yields more COVID-19 cases in Baguio City

Mayor Benjamin Magalong said 10 of the new cases recorded on Friday, August 28, were grocery workers, five were frontliners, and three were contacts of previous patients.

Apart from contact tracing and medical intervention, the city has pursued expanded testing as a tool to search for virus carriers and interrupt transmissions. He said around 5,000 workers were subjected to mandatory testing, and the city expects more cases to surface from said sector.
