Nakalabas na sa ospital nitong Sabado ang dating Pangasinan governor at kongresista na si Amado Espino Jr. matapos tambangan ng mga hindi pa natutukoy na salarin sa San Carlos City noong Miyerkoles.

Sa litratong ipinost ng kaniyang anak na si Pangasinan 2nd District Rep. Jumel Espino sa kaniyang official Facebook account, makikita ang nakatatatandang Espino na nakikipagkwentuhan sa mga bisita sa kanilang bahay. Tinambangan ang sasakyan ni Espino ng mga armadong kalalakihan noong Miyerkoles kung saan tinamaan siya sa tagiliran.

Nasawi naman ang 2 sa kaniyang kasama na sina Staff Sgt. Richard Esguerra na dead on the spot at Agapito Cuizon na namatay sa ospital. Tukoy na ng pulisya ang may-ari ng ginamit na getaway vehicles na sa Metro Manila nakarehistro. Inatasan ang PNP-Highway Patrol Group para alamin kung carnapped ang mga ito.

Nasa kustodiya rin ng Special Investigation Task Group ang driver ni Espino na si Anthony Columbino na tumakas matapos ang insidente. Hindi pa nagbibigay ng pahayag ang pamilya Espino ngunit ipinaabot na nila ang kanilang tulong sa pamilya ng mga nasawi sa ambush.
