MANILA, Philippines — PEP.ph, a popular entertainment news outlet, said it would cooperate with authorities concerning a cyber libel complaint filed by actress and former Film Development Council of the Philippines chairman, Liza Diño, Seguerra before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office on May 24, 2024.In her complaint, Diño, a columnist of The Manila Times, alleged that PEP.ph's editorial team disseminated 'multiple malicious articles' about her over the past year.
Also impleaded in the complaints were various personalities, including actor and former FDCP chairperson Tirso Cruz 3rd and the present chairperson of the FDCP, Jose Javier Reyes for their hand in the actions of Pep.ph against our client,' Tongol said in a statement.'What is obvious is that our client was given by Pep.ph extraordinary special treatment by releasing not one but six articles to form a series of damaging articles in rapid succession.
