The low pressure area that brought rains over Metro Manila and other parts of the country in the past few days has already left the country’s area of responsibility but may continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration .
“In the next 24 hours, the southwest monsoon enhanced by the low pressure area outside PAR will bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, northern Palawan, and Kalayaan Islands,” PAGASA said in the 11 a.m. weather advisory.
