The National Electrification Administration said Monday the initial cost of damages incurred by affected electric cooperatives due to Typhoon “Paeng” has reached P7.4 million.

The NEA has instructed the affected ECs to submit damage and power situation reports including the schedule of partial and complete electric service restoration to consumers. Meralco has recorded momentary and sustained power interruptions affecting a total of 4,002,292 customers across its franchise area.
