EASTERN Visayas reported on Monday, June 22, an additional 35 cases of coronavirus disease , bringing the total count to 431.
The health official said that one of their personnel was tested positive for the virus, aside from the 18 other health workers assigned at Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center , the only government-run 500-bed tertiary hospital serving over four million population in the region. As Covid-19 cases continue to increase and overwhelm the health facilities, governors in the region have requested the national Inter-agency Task Force “to temporarily suspend the locally stranded individuals , returning overseas Filipinos , and Balik Probinsya Program for one to two months.”
