Duterte made the statement during the formal opening of the Mindanao Media Hub of the Presidential Communications Operations Office in Davao City on Thursday, March 18.
“The launching of the Mindanao Media Hub is another big step for this generation towards fostering an equitable media broadcasting environment in Mindanao,” he said. “Our Constitution recognizes the vital role of a free press in a vibrant democracy and a well-informed society,” Duterte said. According to PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar, the “state-of-the-art” MMH will further expand the reach of government media in regions across the island.
