Malacañang assured that President Duterte was fit to fulfill his duties as the country’s leader despite complaining of illnesses, saying it was only normal for a man of Duterte’s age to not be in the best of health.Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said life has begun to take its toll on his health.

In a radio interview, Panelo said Duterte experiencing all sorts of illnesses was just normal for a man his age. In his meeting with members of the Filipino community in Moscow, Russia last month, Duterte revealed that he was suffering from “myasthenia gravis,” a disease that causes muscle weakness.
