Duterte hits back at some European lawmakers for meddling in PH affairs

President Duterte has hit back at some European lawmakers for allegedly meddling in the country’s affairs, according to Presidential spokesman Harry Roque.

The European Parliament recently approved a resolution deploring the alleged poor human rights situation in the Philippines and backed calls for a United Nations probe into the alleged killings related to the drug war. The parliament’s controversial resolution was tackled by the President at length during a meeting with some Cabinet members in Davao City Monday night.

“Mahaba ang diskusyon ni Presidente tungkol kay Leila De Lima kung bakit hindi po siya talaga nakakulong as a political prisoner, kung hindi as a common criminal related to drug charges, the same thing with Maria Ressa ,” Roque said.
