Speaking during the situation briefing on the aftermath of the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas, the President echoed Quiboloy as he discussed his drug war.
“If it’s just possible that we have enough people who have the power, really, to say ‘Just stop!’ Pero p***** i** itong mga droga ,” he said. “I’ll say it again for the nth time: Itong mga droga , ‘stop!’ Hindi ako si Quiboloy, ha ,” he added. Duterte was referring to the remark of the self-proclaimed “Appointed Son of God” last year when Quiboloy claimed that the magnitude 6.6 earthquake that rocked Mindanao in October stopped on his orders.
“Ako’y umiinom lang ng kape. Eh, lumilindol. Sinabi ko , ‘Lindol, huminto ka !’ Huminto ,” Quiboloy had said.“I believe in Pastor Quiboloy. When he said ‘stop’, eh kung nag-stop , eh ‘di what’s the trouble?” he said.“If I can only have that power doon sa mga kurakot na stop kasi alam mo dito ang Pilipino hindi mo talaga madala sa pakiusap ,” the President said.
