Duterte ‘agrees’ with Remulla’s appeal to include middle class in emergency aid

In a letter to Duterte, Remulla described the pandemic as “ a time of crisis for everyone” and “not just the poorest of the poor, but also those who have built

much but not enough.”“They are often overlooked. They pay the most taxes. They keep our economy alive. They are mostly law-abiding citizens. They need a break,” he said.

DJEsguerraINQ true. most of them are overworked. they do overtime everyday and pay taxes. mean while in this crisis. they're exempted to goverment aide. thats unfair .

DJEsguerraINQ Dole-out cash is NOT the right strategy for the middle class. Use the banks. The liquidity is right there.

DJEsguerraINQ The middle class should be assisted as they are a pillar of funds the govt use, e.g. in welfare. If the working class collapse, there will be less funds the govt would work on, and they would just add to the hungry mouths who just rely. Help them so they could continue to help.
