Duque: Philippines surpasses ‘crisis stage’ of Covid-19 pandemic

HEALTH Secretary Francisco Duque said on Thursday, February 17, 2022, that the country has already surpassed the “crisis stage” brought about by the coronavirus disease pandemic.

The country’s two-week growth rate is currently at -81 percent, while the Adar is at seven in every 100,000 population, which is considered “low risk.” Duque also rejected the idea of no longer making mandatory the wearing of face masks, saying it still serves as one of the best protection, along with vaccination, not only against Covid-19 but also against other disease-causing viruses.
