The cash payout for the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program has been temporarily suspended by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) until the processing of the agency’s fund for 2023 is finished.

This was advised by DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez in a public briefing on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Meanwhile, the issuance of guarantee letters for AICS beneficiaries which was also halted in the latter part of 2022 has already resumed.
