In Baguio City, DSWD staff and representatives from Padilla’s Senate office gave P3,000 each to at least 389 beneficiaries. They also distributed bicycles and other valuable items to the residents. Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong accompanied Padilla’s team led by the senator’s brother Rommel at the charity event.
Meanwhile, in Kalinga, Padilla’s team also gave P3,000 each to 500 beneficiaries, in coordination with the DSWD at the provincial capitol in Bulanao, Tabuk City. Last Friday, Padilla and fellow senator Christopher Go visited two areas in Mindanao likewise to extend assistance to villagers affected by floods earlier this month.Padilla and Go went to Sta. Maria in Davao Occidental, where they gave P2,000 each to 2,500 residents affected by flooding last Nov. 16. They also distributed balls and bicycles to the residents.
