The Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region said on Thursday, Jan. 26, that its official Facebook page is now available to deliver announcements about its programs and services to the public

“Nais po namin ipaalam sa publiko na ang opisyal na Facebook page ng Department of Social Welfare and Development National Capital Region ay muli na pong magagamit sa paghahatid ng makabuluhang impormasyon tungkol sa ibat-ibang programa at proyekto ng ahensya na makakatutulong sa ating mga kababayan sa National Capital Region ,” the agency said in a Facebook post.In a statement on Jan. 15, the DSWD-NCR apologized to the public for any inconvenience caused by the hacking incident.

“Nais ipaalam ng DSWD sa publiko at sa aming mga kliyente na ang opisyal na Facebook page ng DSWD Field Office-NCR ay na-hack bandang alas 6 p.m. noong Biyernes, Enero 13, 2023. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit may mga hindi pangkaraniwang post doon na hindi nauugnay sa ahensiya ,” the DSWD-NCR said. It said it conducted an investigation to recover the agency’s official Facebook page and contacted the relevant government agencies for investigation into the incident.
