The Department of Social Welfare and Development has intervened after the mayor and vice mayor of Tobias Fornier in Antique had a fight over the distribution of food packs. DSWD spokesperson Assistance Secretary Irene Dumlao told GMA Integrated News on Wednesday that the agency directed its regional director to visit Mayor Ernesto Tajanlangit III and Vice Mayor Jose Maria Fornier.
“Ang DSWD ay may RPAs sa mga LGUs na nagpapahintulot sa ahensya na magpreposition ng food packs sa mga warehouses in strategic locations sa bansa upang mas mapabilis ang pagpapahatid ng tulong sa panahon ng disasters or emergencies,” she added.In a video, Tajanlangit III and Fornier were seen fighting over a truck of food packs.The argument took a few minutes with both officials trying to get a hold of the truck's key. They then moved to the back of the truck where the altercation continued.
