DSWD conducts manual payouts for unserved SAP 2 beneficiaries

DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista made the assurance after Alitagtag, Batangas Mayor Edilberto “Dingdong” Ponggos raised concern that around 1, 151 SAP 2 recipients have not received their entitled emergency subsidy under the already-lapsed Republic Act 11469 or the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

“Hindi po naging perpekto ang pagbibigay ng ayuda through the financial service providers kaya ang ginawa po namin ay kinuha po namin ang listahan sa financial service providers, at kami na po manual na po, direct payout na po ang ibibigay sa ating mga benepisyaryo.” In his message during the 70th founding anniversary celebration of the agency last week, Bautista disclosed that around 23 million family-beneficiaries have benefited from the P200-billion SAP program.

The DSWD as the lead SAP implementer conducted digital and manual payouts with the assistance of the local government units , military, and police.
