Following the approval of the creation of the regional unit, officials from the department and BARMM Ministry of Public Works met recently to discuss the establishment of the office that will be key to the implementation of road and bridge projects in the region.
“The first consultation meeting between DPWH and MPW BARMM paved the way for a better understanding on the implementation of both national and local infrastructure in BARMM,” Villar added. Aside from the establishment of the regional office, the conduct of road condition and traffic count survey on BARMM national roads and its integration to the road network system database, and the maintenance of national roads in the region were also discussed.
