Two more off-site dormitories for COVID-19 frontline healthcare personnel will be built in Quezon City and Pampanga, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar recently bared.The additional dormitories will be constructed within the compounds of Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City and Jose Lingad Memorial Hospital in Pampanga.
The dormitories are made of modular components fabricated to assemble rooms with the middle space intended for the living room. Common dining and a separate area for laundry and kitchen with available appliances are also set up within the dormitories. “We will be doing our best to make sure that those who are sick have access to healthcare facilities. Construction of isolation or quarantine facilities is being considered in these areas.”
