A trending destination in a municipality in Nueva Vizcaya, where a “sea of clouds” viewing spot can be found, is expected to be more accessible as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been paving the road leading to the destination.

The paving of the two-kilometer Junction National Road-Bitnong-Belance Nueva Vizcaya Boundary Road in Dupax del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya is now 93 percent completed, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said.

“With the completion of this access road project this year, we expect the influx of tourists that will provide additional income opportunities for locals in the area.” Meanwhile, the usual 30-minute boat ride from Solano town to inner municipalities in Quezon and Kasibu in Nueva Vizcaya has been transformed into a two-minute drive by land after an inter-town bridge was completed, benefiting some 60,000 motorists.

“Prior to the completion of a new bridge, motorists had to endure a 30-minute makeshift boat ride to cross Magat River because the old bridge was damaged.”
