The DOST-FPRDI is conducting a research program seeking to explore potential sources of fragrances and flavors from the country’s forest.

The Department of Science and Technology-Forest Products Research and Development Institute is conducting a research program seeking to explore potential sources of fragrances and flavors from the country’s forest.

“The goals of the program are to develop protocols for sustainable and responsible harvesting of non-timber forest products for flavors and fragrances; upgrade and transfer the FPRDI-developed extractor; and establish R&D facilities for the development of technologies and products for flavors and fragrances,” he said during his weekly report on Friday,
