Inanunsyo ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources na mananatiling sarado ang Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach sa publiko para bigyang daan ang iba pang proyekto ng ahensiya sa Manila Bay.

Ayon kay DENR-NCR Regional Executive Director Jacqueline Caancan, nakapagtala ng fecal coliform level na 22,000 MPN per 100 milligrams sa malapit sa dolomite beach noong Oktubre 25. Noong Oktubre 24 nai-record ang mahigit 121,000 katao na bumisita sa dolomite beach, pero sabi ng kagawaran, hindi ito ang rason ng pagdudumi ng tubig. Nasa 100 MPN ang katanggap-tanggap o safe level na water quality para masabing ligtas nang languyan ang tubig sa dagat.

Pero isa sa suliranin na kailangan pang harapin ng DENR ay ang pagrerelocate sa mga informal settlers sa lugar na posibleng matagalan pa. May mga nagbakasakaling makapasok pero hindi rin pinayagan. Ayon sa mga bumibisita, aabangan na lang nilang muli na magbukas ito tsaka sila babalik kasama ang kanilang mga pamilya.
