With the increase of new confirmed COVID19 cases seemingly slowing down, the Department of Health said it is hoping the country will only have 12,000 cases by May 20.

MANILA — With the increase of new confirmed COVID-19 cases seemingly slowing down, the Department of Health said it is hoping the country will only have 12,000 cases by May 20.

Dr. Regina E. Estuar, project lead of a government-funded disease modeling application, also mentioned during an online briefing that it’s possible to limit the confirmed cases to 12,000 if the country’s health systems capacity is enough. FASSSTER uses data from the Department of Health and produces models not just for the national government but for specific localities, too.

Its projections have been used by the IATF to help decide on the extension of the ECQ.

That will only happen if doh finally becomes proactive in dealing with the situation. I do hope you’re right though.

How can you say it’s slowing down kung ang daming hindi naman natetest?

This is the problem with DOH, they dont speak for reality. Parang nag eemagine lang sila palagi. Pano naging slow to eh halos everyday more than 100 pa rin ang cases. Potex!

Mass testing pls

Slowing down? 🤓

I think we will only know whether it is slowing down or rising up when we get result of the much awaited mass testing

i think hindi dapat ang number of positive cases ang dapat nilang gawing target or measure of success, but the number of individuals tested. then second target is ratio of deaths versus tested. kasi ang gagawin lang nila dyan is itatago yung real number of active cases.

This is ridiculous!

I bet at around 10T only
